LINE COOK
PERENN IS A FAST PACED BAKERY, RESTAURANT, GROCERY AND CAFE DEDICATED TO THE CRAFT OF PREPARING AND BAKING QUALITY BREAD AND VIENNOISERIE. WE ARE LOOKING FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE DRIVEN AND SELF MOTIVATED WITH WILLINGNESS TO WORK IN A TEAM ENVIRONMENT AND MAINTAIN CONSTANT PRODUCTIVE COMMUNICATION.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LINE COOK MIGHT LOOK LIKE:
- APPROPRIATELY STOCK ASSIGNED SECTION.
- BREAKDOWN A VARIETY OF PROTEINS AND COOK THEM TO A SAFE TEMPERATURE
- COLLABORATE WITH THE REST OF THE BOH STAFF ON GROUP TASKS.
- ANSWER, REPORT AND FOLLOW EXECUTIVE SOUS CHEF’S INSTRUCTIONS AND STANDARDS.
- KEEP A CLEAN AND HYGIENIC WORK STATION.
- RECEIVE, FIFO, AND PUT AWAY INVENTORY.
- ENSURE THAT FOOD COMES OUT WITHIN THE EXPECTED TICKET TIME RANGE.
- COMPLY WITH HEALTH, SAFETY, FOOD HANDLING, AND HYGIENE STANDARDS.
- MAINTAIN A POSITIVE AND PROFESSIONAL APPROACH WITH COWORKERS AND CUSTOMERS.
- PREPARE HIGH QUALITY FOOD FOLLOWING PRESCRIBED RECIPES AND PRODUCTION SPECIFICATIONS
- OPERATE A WIDE RANGE OF KITCHEN EQUIPMENT
- FULFILL OPEN AND CLOSING DUTIES AS WELL AS ADDITIONAL SIDE WORK.
- PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR THIS POSITION HAS THE FOLLOWING QUALITIES:
- EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS.
- MUST BE ABLE TO COMPLETE TASKS QUICKLY AND EFFICIENTLY.
- MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WELL AS PART OF A TEAM.
- MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WELL UNDER PRESSURE
- PROFICIENT KNIFE SKILLS (PREFERRED).
- EXTENSIVE CULINARY KNOWLEDGE (PREFERRED).
